Eating Out — Our Favourite Places

These are places we’ve eaten at, enjoyed and would happily return to. Some are close to your casita; others are worth making part of a day out.

We’ve grouped our recommendations by area, with separate sections for teleclubs and wineries. Check opening hours before setting off, and if you’re unsure what to choose, ask Darek — we’re always happy to help you find the right spot.

Teleclubs — A Taste of Local Lanzarote

Teleclubs are village social centres where people meet, eat and spend time together. Many have a bar or restaurant serving traditional Canarian food in an informal setting.

They’re part of everyday life on the island — and a lovely way to discover Lanzarote through its villages and local cooking.

Wine & Wineries

Wine is part of Lanzarote’s landscape and everyday life. Visiting a bodega is a chance to taste the island’s wines and discover how vines grow in this unusual volcanic setting.

These are places we recommend for their wines, their history or their setting. Book ahead for guided visits and tastings, and arrange your journey home so everyone can enjoy the experience.

Guatiza

Close to your casita, these village spots are easy options for lunch or a drink.

The North — Arrieta, Punta Mujeres, Haría & Yé

From seafood by the ocean in Arrieta and Italian cooking in Punta Mujeres to village lunches in Haría and grilled meats in Yé, these are our places to stop while exploring the north. Plan a meal around a beach walk, a village visit or a day among the volcanoes.

Teguise & Los Valles

Combine a stroll through Teguise’s historic streets with lunch or dinner, or head to Los Valles for a meal with countryside views.

Central Lanzarote — Mozaga, Tiagua, La Vegueta & Tías

These stops fit well into a day exploring the island’s villages and vineyards, from traditional Canarian lunches and grilled meats to Italian cooking and a bakery break.

Arrecife

Our picks in the island’s capital combine a meal or a drink with a view — from the rooftop of the Gran Hotel to the waterfront and the historic Castillo de San José.

The South — Janubio & Playa Blanca

Two places worth planning into a day in the south: a meal overlooking the salt pans at Janubio, or a special evening by the sea in Playa Blanca.
