Booking Terms & Conditions

These Booking Terms & Conditions apply to direct reservations made with Casitas Santa Rita, including reservations made through our website and online booking system.
By completing a reservation, the guest confirms that they have read and accepted these Booking Terms & Conditions.
1. Accommodation provider

Casitas Santa Rita consists of two independent holiday accommodations, Casita Luna and Casita Coco, located in Guatiza, Lanzarote.
2. Reservations
A reservation is confirmed once the booking process has been successfully completed and the required payment has been received or authorised.
The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years old and must provide accurate and complete information during the booking process.
The reservation applies only to the accommodation, dates and number of guests stated in the booking confirmation.
The maximum occupancy of each casita is two guests.
Casitas Santa Rita is an adults-only property.
3. Prices
The price applicable to a reservation is the price displayed during the booking process before the reservation is confirmed.
Prices may vary depending on the accommodation, dates, length of stay, season, promotional offer or discount applied.
A final cleaning fee of €100 per stay may be charged separately and, where applicable, will be clearly displayed during the booking process before payment.
Casitas Santa Rita may, at its discretion, waive or reduce the cleaning fee or offer other discounts or promotional reductions. Such reductions may be applied through a promotional or voucher code or reflected directly in the final booking price.
Any discount, voucher or promotional code is subject to its stated conditions and validity period and does not create an entitlement to the same discount for future reservations.
The total amount payable is always shown before the guest confirms and pays for the reservation.
4. Payment
Unless otherwise expressly agreed, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Online payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Casitas Santa Rita does not store complete payment-card details.
A reservation is not considered confirmed until the required payment has been successfully processed or another payment arrangement has been expressly agreed with Casitas Santa Rita.
5. Cancellation Conditions and Special Rates
For direct reservations made under the standard cancellation conditions:
cancellation is free of charge up to 30 days before the scheduled arrival date;
if the reservation is cancelled less than 30 days before arrival, the full reservation amount is non-refundable;
in the event of a no-show, the full reservation amount is non-refundable.
Casitas Santa Rita may offer special, promotional, discounted or personalised rates with different payment and cancellation conditions, including non-refundable rates.
Where a reservation or direct offer is expressly identified as non-refundable, the standard cancellation conditions above do not apply. In the event of cancellation, amendment or no-show, the amount paid for a non-refundable reservation is non-refundable.
The specific payment and cancellation conditions communicated with the offer and/or displayed during the booking process take precedence over the standard cancellation conditions above.
Where a refund is due, it will normally be returned using the original payment method.
6. Changes to a reservation
Requests to change dates or other elements of a confirmed reservation are subject to availability and must be agreed by Casitas Santa Rita.
A requested change may result in a different price depending on the new dates, length of stay or applicable rates.
Casitas Santa Rita is not obliged to accept a requested modification where the requested accommodation or dates are unavailable.
7. Cancellation or changes by Casitas Santa Rita
In the unlikely event that Casitas Santa Rita is unable to provide the booked accommodation due to circumstances within our control, we will contact the guest as soon as reasonably possible.
Where appropriate, we may offer alternative dates, alternative accommodation if available, or a refund of amounts paid for accommodation that cannot be provided.
Casitas Santa Rita will not be responsible for failure or delay in providing accommodation where this results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, subject to any rights the guest may have under applicable law.
8. Check-in and check-out
Unless otherwise agreed:
Check-in: from 16:00
Check-out: by 11:00
Early check-in or late check-out may be possible by prior arrangement but cannot be guaranteed.
Information regarding arrival and access to the property will be provided before check-in.
9. Guest responsibilities
Guests are expected to use the accommodation and shared areas responsibly and with reasonable care.
Guests must respect the property, furnishings, equipment, garden, pool and other facilities.
Only registered guests included in the reservation may stay overnight at the property unless prior permission has been obtained from Casitas Santa Rita.
Guests must respect reasonable house rules and avoid behaviour that causes excessive noise, nuisance, danger or disturbance to other guests, neighbours or the property.
10. Damage and exceptional cleaning
Guests may be held responsible for damage, loss or exceptional cleaning costs resulting from deliberate acts, negligence or misuse during their stay.
Normal wear and tear is excluded.
If significant damage or an unusual problem occurs during the stay, guests should inform Casitas Santa Rita as soon as reasonably possible so that the matter can be addressed.
11. Swimming pool and jacuzzi
The swimming pool is a shared facility for guests of Casitas Santa Rita.
Casita Luna additionally includes a private outdoor jacuzzi.
Guests use the swimming pool, jacuzzi and other outdoor facilities responsibly and at their own risk, subject to applicable law.
Guests must follow any safety information or reasonable instructions provided at the property.
The swimming pool is normally available between 10:00 and 22:00.
Guests of Casita Luna are kindly requested to limit use of the outdoor jacuzzi to reasonable hours and, where possible, not later than 23:00, in consideration of the peaceful character of the property and surrounding area.
12. Smoking
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the casitas.
Where smoking is permitted outdoors, guests must use appropriate ashtrays and exercise particular care because Lanzarote's dry and windy conditions may increase fire risk.
13. Pets
Pets are not permitted unless expressly agreed in writing before the reservation is confirmed.
14. Personal belongings
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay.
Casitas Santa Rita cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where liability arises under applicable law.
Guests are encouraged to take reasonable precautions and to use any available security facilities appropriately.
15. Internet and utilities
Wi-Fi and normal household utilities are provided for guests.
Temporary interruptions to internet access, electricity, water or other services may occasionally occur for reasons outside our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to resolve problems affecting the stay as quickly as practicable after we become aware of them.
16. Maintenance and access
Occasionally, maintenance, repairs, pool servicing, gardening or other necessary work may be required during a guest's stay.
We will make reasonable efforts to minimise disturbance.
Where access to the occupied accommodation itself is required for a non-emergency reason, we will normally inform the guest in advance.
In an emergency or where immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect people or property, access may be required without prior notice.
17. Complaints and problems during the stay
If a problem occurs during the stay, guests should contact Casitas Santa Rita as soon as reasonably possible.
Early notification gives us the opportunity to investigate and, where possible, resolve the issue during the stay.

18. Booking technology and payment providers
Our direct online booking system is provided through Smoobu.
Payments may be processed through Stripe.
The use of these services may involve processing certain information necessary to manage the reservation and payment.
Further information about how personal data is processed is provided in our Privacy Policy.
19. Privacy
Personal data provided in connection with a reservation is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection legislation.
Our website also uses cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
20. Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Guests remain responsible for their own acts and omissions and for complying with reasonable safety instructions provided in connection with the accommodation and its facilities.
21. Applicable law
These Booking Terms & Conditions and direct reservations with Casitas Santa Rita are governed by Spanish law, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that may apply to the guest.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable Spanish or European Union law.
